Pero su vida no ha sido t\u00edpica ni f\u00e1cil en los \u00faltimos dos a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>Jaida pasa la mayor parte del tiempo en casa de su abuela porque su madre trabaja mucho. Su abuela ha tenido dos operaciones recientes, lo que hace que trabajar sea casi imposible. Ahora la familia intenta llegar a fin de mes con los peque\u00f1os ingresos fijos de su abuela.<\/p>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Gente en un porche\" class=\"img-fluid my-4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.feedthechildren.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/jaida-on-the-porch.jpg\"><\/div>\n<p>\"Tener ingresos fijos es dif\u00edcil porque tienes que hacer un presupuesto y s\u00f3lo lo recibes una vez al mes. No recibes una paga cada semana o cada dos semanas como otras personas. Es dif\u00edcil, y yo tratando de mantener a mis cuatro nietos y mi bisnieta, lo esencial que necesitan es realmente dif\u00edcil y desafiante para m\u00ed\", dijo la abuela de Jaida, Dolly.<\/p>\n<p>La familia ha llegado a confiar en la ayuda de una organizaci\u00f3n local, el Buffalo Dream Center, al norte del estado de Nueva York, que es una agencia asociada a Feed the Children.<\/p>\n<p>\"Cuando nos den los cupones de comida, y se nos acaben antes de fin de mes. Vendr\u00e1n y nos dar\u00e1n comida y eso nos ayudar\u00e1 mucho porque nos quedaremos sin comida un par de d\u00edas hasta que mi madre reciba sus cupones de alimentos\", nos dijo Jaida.<\/p>\n<p>Las vacaciones y el comienzo del curso escolar tambi\u00e9n son duros para la familia. Jaida no puede elegir ropa nueva ni mochila como sus compa\u00f1eros. Algunos a\u00f1os no ha tenido ni material escolar.<\/p>\n<p>\"El primer a\u00f1o me daba miedo ir sin material escolar porque normalmente los profesores dec\u00edan: bueno, si no tienes algo, ve a cogerlo al fondo de la clase. Y yo era la \u00fanica que se levantaba para coger algo\".<\/p>\n<p>Gracias a la generosidad de personas como t\u00fa, Jaida y sus hermanos han podido recibir material escolar del Dream Center. El centro tambi\u00e9n ha ayudado a Jaida y a su familia durante las vacaciones.<\/p>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Gente en un porche con cajas\" class=\"img-fluid my-4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.feedthechildren.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Dezmond-with-boxes-on-a-porch-1.jpg\"><\/div>\n<p>\"Desde que empezamos a ir al Buffalo Dream Center, no tuvimos que preocuparnos de eso porque siempre vienen con comida y en las fiestas, no ten\u00edamos mucho para Navidad. Y fuimos al Buffalo Dream Center, y nos dieron regalos y un mont\u00f3n de cosas para las fiestas. Fue muy bonito y nos ayud\u00f3 mucho\", dijo Jaida.<\/p>\n<p>Para su abuela, la ayuda adicional ha supuesto un gran alivio y gratitud.<\/p>\n<p>\"Qu\u00e9 salvavidas\", dijo Dolly. \"Quiero dar las gracias al Buffalo Dream Center y a Feed the Children.
